Pastor George Hicks

Pastor George Hicks is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is the only child of George Hicks and Caronelle Hicks White.

Pastor Hicks is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center with a Masters of Divinity Degree.

Pastor Hicks was licensed into the Gospel Ministry by the Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church of Mauldin, SC, where his spiritual father, the late Rev. Dr. S. C. Cureton was the Pastor. Pastor Hicks served as Reedy River's Youth Minister and Family Life Center Director for six years. He also served as pastor of the Fairforest Baptist Church of Greenville, SC for six years.

In 2005, Pastor Hicks and his lovely wife were led by God to found Agape Church. Agape is a body of Bible-based, Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-led believers who aim to win the world for Jesus. Agape has a heart for God and a heart for people.

Pastor Hicks has preached and taught throughout South Carolina and the nation. He has served on the faculties of the Congresses of the Reedy River Baptist Association, the Baptist Educational and Missionary convention of South Carolina, the Young People's Christian Assembly, and the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc.

He is married to the former Tausha Jones of Mansfield, OH. They have two beautiful daughters, Natalie Grace and Victoria Faith.

Pastor Hicks' favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." (NKJV)
